This Is John Wallowitch Andy Warhol cover NEAR MINT LP 1964 Serenus SEP-2005
Tis Is John Wallowitch LP USA Serenus Records SEP-3005 EXCELLENT SEALED condition (see note below). There is one 3.5 bubble (or wrinkle or crease) where the front cover paper was not glued perfectly to the cardboard. This is in the middle of the front cover at the opening (see pictures). But that aside, it is still in quite impressive condition for being 55+ years old. This is the rare 1964 LP whose front cover art is a photo collage by Andy Warhol.
John Wallowitch was the brother of Edward Wallowitch (one of Andy Warhol's friends) and Anna Mae Wallowitch (an Andy Warhol model and Warhol's one-time agent). This is reported to be Warhol's first album cover design to feature photography as the medium - in this case a collage of cropped photo-booth portraits.
This album came from a collection that has been in storage for about 25 years and is still in the original shrink wrap. No price sticker, no cutout marks, no ring wear, no wear on the seams.
